The computer lab is equipped with 25 desktop machines, and an instructor’s machine all connected to the Internet. All of the machines use Windows XP and have current licenses for Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Also, each machine has Kid Pix and Type to Learn applications under license. The SmartBoard is used for whole-class instruction. Each classroom has a Windows XP machine primarily for the teacher’s use.

St. Ann Catholic School considers technology an essential component of education in the 21st Century. The goal of technology use is to integrate it throughout the learning process. Students are given the opportunity to communicate, collaborate and develop skills that are essential to success in both the real and virtual world environments. They also learn to problem solve and play roles in a global community where knowledge and information are expanding exponentially.
