Welcome to Our New Website

Happy New Year! What better way to start the new year than to give our website a makeover with a new coat of paint, an engine tune-up and refreshed layout to make accessing frequently used content easier. We’ve spent the last few months analyzing our old site and gathering feedback on how to make the user experience better. We sincerely hope that you enjoy the new website and hope that you’ll share it with your family and friends. We’re quite proud of it and feel that St. Ann Catholic School has one of the best school website’s in the area.

Below you will find a few highlights of some of the changes to help you get acquainted with the new design. After you’ve spent some time with the site please drop us a line and let us know what you think. If you find a bug or error please let us know that as well.  Through you’re feedback we’ll continue to make the site better and easier to use.  Thank you!

New Website Features

We’ve taken some of the most popular pages on the website and added them to a quick link menu at the top of the website. In the top most blue bar you’ll find links to the weekly newsletter, school calendar, homeroom pages and other popular pages. Check out all of the links and see what you can now access easier than ever with only a single-click in most cases.

New Website Features

The primary menu system has been updated to address 3 main audiences that visit our website: Existing parents, students and prospective families. Information important to each audience is now grouped together in a more logical manner. Plus we’re in the process of updated and expanding the content for the Early Childhood Center for those families with children attending or interested in the ECC, But don’t worry, we’ve kept the News blog and information under the About section.

New Website Features

Our school calendar has been updated to take advantage of a full screen layout making it easier to view the calendar. Plus we’ve added the ability for you to submit an event that you feel should be added to the school calendar.

New Website Features

Throughout the website we’ve taken advantage of advanced formatting technologies like the expanding sections illustrated above in the Frequently Asked Question page. Now we can reduce the overall size of a page or eliminate the need for multiple pages in some cases. This helps us reduce the number of clicks required to get to the information people need the most.

We hope you find the new website easier to use and helpful as you interact with St. Ann Catholic School. We’ll be continuing to make updates to the website moving forward so make sure to come back and check us out on a regular basis.  We look forward to your feedback.

Thank you,

~ St. Ann Marketing & Website Committee

2010 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

2010 MLK, Jr. Day of Service 01

St. Ann Catholic School was chosen as a project site for the UMSL Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. A group of 7th-8th grade students provided free babysitting supervised by a parent volunteer. A team of 30 St. Ann School teachers, parents, students, and parishioners arrived in the morning of Monday, January 18, 2010. They got busy cleaning the halls, stairways, Science Lab, and cafeteria. They painted walls in the main hallway, the 5th grade classroom, and the 4th and 5th grade stairwells. They scraped paint in the cafeteria and repainted those walls. An UMSL team of 7 volunteers arrived after noon with lunches for our 30 school volunteers and paint for the Science Lab and the cafeteria. The UMSL team painted the Science Lab and helped to clean the cafeteria. An enormous amount of work was accomplished!

Mark your calendars for January 17, 2011. We will be asking for volunteer help from parents and students for the 2nd annual event! We hope to be chosen as an UMSL project site again next year, too.

Below are some photos taken during the Day of Service.
