Cardinal Raymond L. Burke Teacher Recognition Award Winner

The Cardinal Raymond L. Burke Teacher Recognition Award honors educators in parish elementary and secondary schools and Archdiocesan elementary, secondary and special education schools and centers for their outstanding service and performance.  Mrs. Julie Chase was one of 6 educators to receive the award this year.  The group photo shows those 6 educators with Archbishop Carlson and Dr. Kurt Nelson, the Superintendent of Catholic Education for the Archdiocese.

Kathy Reid Burke Award

Mrs. Kathy Reid is one of 10 teachers in the Archdiocese selected to receive the Cardinal Raymond L. Burke Teacher Recognition Award for their outstanding service and performance.  The award is granted based on an application process that included giving evidence that she uses many methods and techniques that are characterized as “Best Practice” in education.  We know that Mrs. Reid is an amazing teacher and a blessing to our school.  We are glad that she is being honored for her talents.  Congratulations, Mrs. Reid!

St. Ann Teacher Wins 2013 Cardinal Raymond L. Burke Teacher Recognition Award

Denise siders, St. Ann Catholic School’s 5th grade teacher, was a recipient of the 2013 Cardinal Raymond L. Burke Teacher Recognition Award at a special reception held on May 9th with Archbishop Robert J. Carlson.

The Cardinal Raymond L. Burke Teacher Recognition Award honors teachers in parish elementary and secondary schools and Archdiocesan elementary, secondary and special education schools and centers for their outstanding commitment to Catholic education and instructional best practices. Currently employed, full time educators in these schools are eligible.

St. Ann Teacher Wins ‘Teacher of the Year’ Award

Monsanto Science Teacher of the Year

Cheryl Thomas, St. Ann Catholic School’s upper block science teacher, has received the 2013 Academy of Science Monsanto Teacher of the Year Award.

As the only recipient, she will receive a $500 grant for classroom/lab equipment and a $2000 stipend to attend conferences and workshops in the coming year.

She will be honored at the Academy of Science St. Louis Outstanding Scientist Awards dinner in the Spring.

We look forward to sharing more information about Mrs. Thomas’ prestigious award this Spring.
