Spelling Bee Winners!

St. Ann Catholic School Spelling Bee Winners 2014 Photo

Congratulations to the 15 students from grades 4 to 8, who competed in the St. Ann Catholic School Spelling Bee. The first place winner was M. Martin, and C. Smith came in second place.

The winning word was “campaign.”



St. Ann Spelling Bee

A few weeks ago was the St. Ann Spelling Bee.

Congratulations to all the participants:

  • Gr. 4   Mikayla Alexander, Maya Martin, and Felix Opiyo;
  • Gr. 5   Jaedon Deskins, Matthew David, and Zachary Hohenstein;
  • Gr. 6   Martin Oyalo, Liam Quinlisk, and Christian Moore-Eston;
  • Gr. 7 Steven Harrington, Isabelle Nelson, and Laynie Smith; and
  • Gr. 8   Jessica Nance, Gabby O’Brien, and Ronay Haynie.

The fifth graders swept the competition, taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!

The winner was Jaedon Deskins.  Congratulations!

Our proud St. Ann School Super-spellers!  They each did well enough in their classroom spelling bees to qualify for the big all-school competition.
