Fourth Graders Head To Jefferson City

After spending the year learning all about Missouri history, the 4th grade took a year-end trip to Jefferson City to experience first-hand the workings of our state government.  The students met with our local state representative and senator and even a Supreme Court Judge.   They also got to see our state legislature in session.  The students wowed everyone with their knowledge of Missouri facts and learned even more fun things about Missouri during their trip.  It was a great time, and was an experience that they will surely not soon forget!

St. Ann 4th Graders Visit Jefferson City


Our fourth graders went on the 3rd annual Jefferson City field trip on May 14, 2009. This is in conjunction and celebration of our study of Missouri. While at Jefferson City, we were able to tour the Governor’s mansion, take a tour of the Capitol Building, tour the Supreme Court building, and finally we toured the Missouri Archives Building (a new attraction). While in the Capitol Building, we observed the Senate and House in action and made our own Missouri Seal. It was a fun filled day! Mrs. Chase looks forward to taking future fourth grade classes to Jefferson City.
